Kirsten bio

Kirsten Herrington began her dance education at the age of 2 in Woodstock, GA. She started dancing competitively at age 7 where she truly realized her love and dedication for dance. By age 13 she began teaching ages 2-5 at her mother’s dance studio Devotion in Motion, a faith-based studio in Fort Worth, TX. She danced and cheered competitively throughout high school winning national awards for both. She continued her dance education in college at Texas State University and went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in 2012. Since then Kirsten has choreographed and taught for studios throughout Texas, Rhode Island, and Georgia where her choreography has won recognition as well as national titles. She can do almost all styles of dance including tap, ballet, and modern but specializes in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and loves to do fusion styles of them all. Her passion for teaching is truly shown in her work as she is able to create a comfortable, productive, and fun environment for students to maximize their learning and growth through dance. When Kirsten isn’t dancing or teaching though you can find her in any workout class she can get in to (spin class is her favorite), playing with her Boxer dog Nandor, or eating any type of French fry she can get her hands on!
