Laura Williams trained as a competitive dancer in Dallas – Fort Worth, TX, graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University and later performed across America, Malaysia, and Singapore. As an Actors Equity and AGVA union member some of her favorite musical performances were Beauty & the Beast, My One and Only, 42nd Street, Pajama Game, and Evita. Laura performed as a Radio City Rockette for nine years in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Her additional NYC work included production work for Lincoln Center, New York City Center events, and performing in the National Tap Extravaganza at Town Hall with Buster Brown, Savion Glover, and Jimmy Slyde. Laura’s work as a choreographer has been nationally recognized and includes competitive companies, musicals, charity events, and industrials. She was part of the choreography team for the 2015 Miss Universe and 2016 Miss USA pageants in Las Vegas. Laura has been teaching for over 25 years and has worked in the studio and competition industry as an artistic director, competition judge and regional director, and studio manager and owner. In 2015 Laura created and founded Ambition Dance Productions in Grapevine, TX, leading the studio to win numerous national awards over the past nine years. Laura’s greatest passion is sharing her love and knowledge of dance and seeing the growth of each dancer, and she is grateful to work with aspiring dancers across the country.
